WELCOME

This website was created for the purpose of spreading awareness of Indigenous land acknowledgement. An Indigenous land acknowledgment is a way to show sincere recognition of the land we are on. There are many different ways to ensure that these recognitions are genuine and don't come across as insincere. They can be tailored to where the recognition is being told. For example, make sure you are aware of whom the land belongs to,

or the history of the land. Proper land recognition is not a way to amend the injustices that were made against the Indigenous population from the past but can start to mend the relationship with the people for future generations.
